Pontoon Repair Inspections

Our thorough pontoon inspections involve a combination of pressure testing and visual scrutiny. We meticulously examine each pontoon, removing side skirts and underskin to expose potential issues. After the inspection, we provide comprehensive quotes along with detailed notes and pictures for your review, typically completing the process within 2-4 hours.

Inspection Cost: Inspections are usually complimentary upon approval of recommended repairs. If repairs are declined, a flat rate of $500 applies.

Experience Unmatched Quality and Convenience with Our Pontoon Welding and Repair Services

When it comes to repairing your pontoon, we are uniquely qualified with a specific set of skills and prioritize your satisfaction and convenience above all else.

In-Shop Repairs for Superior Results

By conducting all repairs within our well-equipped shop, we ensure optimal conditions for precise aluminum welding. Unlike outdoor repairs, which are hindered by wind sensitivity, our controlled environment guarantees exceptional results every time.

Precision and Expertise

Even the slightest movement can compromise the quality of your repair. With us, your pontoon stays steady, eliminating the risk of inferior outcomes caused by dock movement or wave action.

Enhanced Accessibility for Comprehensive Repairs

Many repair locations on pontoons, such as between pontoons or on the bottom and back areas, are often inaccessible while on a boat lift. With our in-shop services, we have the tools and accessibility to address these critical areas efficiently and effectively.

Unrivaled Quality Control

With all projects conducted in-house, we maintain strict quality control standards. Our hands-on approach allows us to personally oversee every aspect of the repair process, ensuring meticulous attention to detail and the prevention of errors before they arise.

Convenient Pickup and Delivery Options

For customers without trailers or logistical challenges, we offer pickup and delivery services. Not only do we repair damages, but we also reinforce the entire pontoon structure, ensuring its longevity and durability.

Preparation and Material Expertise

Welding requires thorough preparation and proper material selection. We plan each repair, ensuring materials are clean, well-fitted, and optimized for performance. Our expertise in selecting the right aluminum alloys and welding rods ensures lasting results.
Experience the difference with Augello’s Pontoon Welding. Trust us to deliver unmatched quality, convenience, and expertise for all your pontoon welding and repair needs.

5 Steps of Having Your Pontoon Boat Welded/Repaired

Get the boat to our shop

The first step in having your pontoon welded/repaired is to get the boat to our shop. There are 3 options to accomplish this.

    • Option 1: Meet on land.
Trailer your boat to APW’s Sunrise Beach workshop.
    • Option 2: Meet at the Access Ramp.
Meet an APW representative at the Shawnee Bend Access Ramp (at an available time between 11am-3pm scheduled below) who will haul it out of the water and trailer it to the workshop. ($160)
    • Option 3: Full Dock service.
An APW representative can take it directly from your dock to the Sunrise Beach workshop after pre-arranging key location and security concerns. ($360)

Inspection

Once we have the boat we can perform an inspection. Pontoon inspection consists of pressure testing along with visual scrutiny. First side skirts and under skin must be removed to expose the top of the pontoon. Then we pressure test the entire pontoon. We make notes and take pictures of any damage/problems that we find. After that we create a quotation for the requisite repairs. And finally, we send the customer the quote and pictures. The whole process takes many hours.

Once the inspection is complete, we will know your boat and its problems. At this point I can provide an accurate timeline for completing the work. If you approve the quote that we provide, then your inspection is free. If you do not approve the quote, then you must pay for the inspection.

Questions and Answers

After you have received your quote and pictures you will probably have questions and/or concerns. At this point we can go over everything together and we can address any questions that you may have. We can also provide advice if need be. If you have filed an insurance claim, we can deal with your insurance company directly.

Perform the work

Once the quote has been approved, we will put your boat on our welding schedule. We will perform all of the work that we have agreed upon. When the work is completed, we will let you know and then we can make arrangements to give the boat back to you.

Return the boat home

Now that the work is complete, we will transfer the boat back to you. If you have dropped it off, then you can pick it up. If you would like us to deliver it, then that is what we will do. This is always your choice.
