Craftsmanship

At Augello’s Welding we take the time and effort to make sure all repairs are completed to the highest standards. Not only do we fabricate all components of the repairs to provide you with the highest quality, but we also have expert knowledge of aluminum and all of its component alloys; this means we know which materials will work best to make a strong repair that is built to last.

Inspection Process

Pontoon inspection consists of pressure testing along with visual scrutiny. First the side skirts and underskin must be removed to expose the top of the pontoon. Then we pressure test the entire pontoon. We make notes and take pictures of any damage/problems that we find. After that we create a quotation for the requisite repairs. And finally, we send the customer the quote and pictures. The whole process takes 2-4 hours depending on the boat.

Inspections Are Usually FREE

If the customer approves our quotation for the recommended repairs, the inspection is totally FREE. In other words, if we inspect your pontoons and then you give us approval to perform the repairs, then the inspection is 100% FREE. The only time we charge for inspection is if our quotation is not approved. In that case, the price for inspection is a flat rate of $500.

Reinforcement

Our repairs are welded to the highest quality possible. We also add reinforcements. Reinforcements are additional materials that were not there from the factory. These reinforcements are necessary to keep the problems from coming back. The reinforcements allow our repairs to last the test of time. We have refined these methods and practices over the last 13 years. When we repair and reinforce a problem on a pontoon, it will not come back with the same problem.

Pontoon Pick-up

Augello’s Welding can pick up your boat for you right from your dock. As soon as the repairs are completed, and payment is received we will return the boat back to your dock.” You do not have to be there. We make it as convenient as possible. We can also meet you at the Shawnee Bend Access Ramp.

5 Steps of Having Your Pontoon Boat Welded/Repaired

Get the boat to our shop

The first step in having your pontoon welded/repaired is to get the boat to our shop. There are 3 options to accomplish this.

    • Option 1: Meet on land.
Trailer your boat to APW’s Sunrise Beach workshop.
    • Option 2: Meet at the Access Ramp.
Meet an APW representative at the Shawnee Bend Access Ramp (at an available time between 11am-3pm scheduled below) who will haul it out of the water and trailer it to the workshop. ($160)
    • Option 3: Full Dock service.
An APW representative can take it directly from your dock to the Sunrise Beach workshop after pre-arranging key location and security concerns. ($360)

Inspection

Once we have the boat we can perform an inspection. Pontoon inspection consists of pressure testing along with visual scrutiny. First side skirts and under skin must be removed to expose the top of the pontoon. Then we pressure test the entire pontoon. We make notes and take pictures of any damage/problems that we find. After that we create a quotation for the requisite repairs. And finally, we send the customer the quote and pictures. The whole process takes many hours.

Once the inspection is complete, we will know your boat and its problems. At this point I can provide an accurate timeline for completing the work. If you approve the quote that we provide, then your inspection is free. If you do not approve the quote, then you must pay for the inspection.

Questions and Answers

After you have received your quote and pictures you will probably have questions and/or concerns. At this point we can go over everything together and we can address any questions that you may have. We can also provide advice if need be. If you have filed an insurance claim, we can deal with your insurance company directly.

Perform the work

Once the quote has been approved, we will put your boat on our welding schedule. We will perform all of the work that we have agreed upon. When the work is completed, we will let you know and then we can make arrangements to give the boat back to you.

Return the boat home

Now that the work is complete, we will transfer the boat back to you. If you have dropped it off, then you can pick it up. If you would like us to deliver it, then that is what we will do. This is always your choice.
